Solid B Student

All of my shirts are medium,
so are my shorts.
My pants are too long,
my legs come up short.
I receive an adequet amount of birthday cards
I send an adequet amount of thank-yous
nearly everyone sees me friendly
nearly everyone likes me
not 100%

In 6th grade
my teacher told my parents
"She's a sollid B Student"
They were mad
They were wrong
I finsihed Mr. Ameel's English with a solid B
He was smart
He was right

It haunts me still

Just enough.
Not too much.
I can get an A anyday
but it's much more natural
and easy
with a solid B

I don't beleive you love me
so you get no love in return
you say it every so often
but is it just lust I've earned?
